Brief summary of the prospective of a teacher about the principles of language arts instruction

Summary  Name of teacher: Miss N. Singh Principle outlined: Principle 5 Quote: "  I believe that technology plays an important role in education, not only in helping students develop in one area, but also in giving them a broader sense of culture in different religions and countries. It assists students in developing a broader range of acceptance of what the world is. Technology is very important because it provides a vital, significant benefit to children in a variety of ways, all of which are positive. Technology is advancing in our society today, and our Guyanese children must keep up." Miss Singh mentioned Japan, saying that their technology is so advanced that it is impossible to compare our country to theirs; because their technology is so advanced, they can achieve so much with the touch of a finger. Miss stated, "that technology is present in her classroom, but not to the extent that she would like it to be, and that it is not at our level of availability....

Assess the effects of the principles that you have never considered in your teaching experience. Show how you would incorporate these in your Language Arts classroom.

Principle #3 is one that I have never considered in my teaching experience. Now that I recognize the value of integration and what it truly entails, I plan to use it frequently in my language arts teaching.

Principle #7 Language arts instruction should center on quality literature

Image
It is important that students use quality literature to explore language skills, writing aspects such as language devices, grammar, and so on. Quality literature is an excellent stimulus for involving students because it gives them time to reflect and make connections between the text, their own experiences, and personal responses. In addition, quality texts provide readers with a relatable context, making it easier to write from various points of view and about abstract situations. What factors influence the quality of children's literature? A good book has a key focus that connects the story and captures the reader in. The topic should be exciting and relevant to children, and it ought to have a beginning, middle, and end. The theme should originate from the story so that the reader recognizes it as a learning experience. For example, in my class, students grumble that the stories or reading passages they receive are boring and that they are not motivated to read them. We all kn...

Principle #6: It is important to solicit student voices and choices in the language arts. Such pursuit increases student confidence and Broaders their perspectives

Image
We can influence the outcomes of second language learners. This is where student voice and choice come into play, because they engage students while also assisting them in discovering and creating relevance in their language learning experiences. These four suggestions can assist teachers in incorporating student voice and choice into language learning: When teaching a language, use an inquiry-based approach - Student-centered inquiry fosters a sense of ownership. This method requires teachers to ask meaningful questions with interdisciplinary connections. These numerous connections provide opportunities for students with diverse interests and backgrounds to find relevance in the context of student choice in the language classroom. Use personalization strategies to help students see themselves in what they are learning - Personalization can be as simple as allowing students to create a menu of foods from the country where the target language is spoken that they enjoy. Make the...

Principle #3 Classroom instruction in speaking, writing, reading, listening and viewing is integrated so that one can improve another

Image
Language arts are tools that children use to explore the rest of the elementary curriculum. Children learn to apply language arts in all areas of their learning when their teachers integrate reading, writing, listening, viewing, speaking, and visual representation throughout the curriculum. In reality, when students learn concepts in social studies or science, they are also practicing one or more of their language skills. In addition, according to Bullock (1975), promoting language across the curriculum is based on three principles: The ability to learn is one function of language; all genuine learning is based on discovery, and the best way to discover is through language arts.  For example, students are allowed to read then answer questions orally and in writing. When they read aloud, their reading skills improve; similarly, when they are asked to answer questions based on what they have read, their speaking and thinking skills begin to develop because they must think of their an...

Principle #4 Language are teachers known they are important forces in their students' lives (continued)

Image
Ways in which this Principle (#4) can be in-cooperated in the classroom. Make Learning Fun as mentioned previously. Set performance goals -  Set small, attainable goals for students and encourage them to complete them. Create challenging assignments that are appropriate for the class's abilities. Change the atmosphere or scenery of the classroom - Yes, the classroom is a great place to learn, but who enjoys sitting at a desk or staring at a screen most of the time, listening to the teacher talk? Why not give students the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom in a new setting? It will keep them intrigued and inspired. You'd be surprised at how beneficial a new setting or open classroom can be! THOSE ARE JUST A FEW EXAMPLES. I will incorporate this principle in my classroom to the best of my ability,

Principle #4 Language are teachers known they are important forces in their students' lives

Image
A motivated teacher is vital in the classroom because they approach teaching differently than others. They also encourage their students to learn in an enjoyable and engaging manner. Motivation is one of the most powerful tools for keeping children positive over time. It implies achieving goals and tailoring activities to achieve them. It encourages students' creativity and curiosity. It is not only about motivating students in the present, but also about developing their fundamental goals and aspirations through most of their educational journey. As educators, we may feel unmotivated to go to work for a variety of reasons, but we must recognize the importance of our students' lives. They look to us as role models for approval and a passion for learning, as well as a sense that the work they are doing is meaningful and accepted. In my classroom, I do my best to maintain a positive attitude toward my students, but most days are difficult due to the diverse personalities that sit...

Principle #5 Just as the printing press had a significant impact on oral traditions, technology is enhancing the role that books. magazines and newspaper serve in student language learning

Image
Because technology provides instant access to information, its presence in the classroom is critical. Smart phones, computers, and tablets are already ubiquitous in the lives of students and teachers alike. It is only natural that the use of technological devices in the classroom be investigated in order to provide meaningful learning experiences for students of all ages. The use of various types of technology in the classroom, including a virtual classroom, results in learners who are actively engaged with learning objectives. Technology implementation also creates pathways for differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of students as individual learners within the context of a larger classroom environment. It is essential to integrate technology into your classroom because it engages students because it is interactive; whether a child works independently or collaboratively, they will be fully engaged when a technological device, such as a smart tv, is turned on. In my ...

Principle #2 Student engage in authentic task

Image
As a teacher, I have always used authentic learning in my classes. Authentic learning benefits students greatly in the classroom; it gives students a better understanding of tasks when they can relate them to real-life experiences, and this helps students complete tasks successfully. I've seen positive results from engaging in authentic activities. For example, during one language period, the class was assigned to read a passage about Diwali. Before the children began reading, they saw the title of the passage and excitement grew among them, as did conversations, and they were eager to share their experiences and relate to the passage. Some children were able to draw parallels between the passage and real-life situations.

Principle #1 continue

A classroom should not only be student-centered and allow students to speak freely, but they should also be praised and rewarded for their efforts and participation in the classroom. The majority of my language arts class is spent with students sharing and discussing ideas with their peers. Following that, students are applauded and complimented for their efforts and participation in the discussion. I frequently see the proud expressions on their little faces as a result of this. This will inspire them. This method works very well in my classroom because as soon as my students hear about the topic, they begin to ask questions and share their opinions.

Principle #1 - Language arts classroom must be positive, comfortable and challenging environments, and classes in which students learn concepts that they value

Classrooms should be student-centered, which means they should be comfortable enough for students to open up - open up in the sense that they have the confidence and boldness to speak up in public or among their peers. They can feel free to share about their culture and life stories, and they can be bold enough to share their views and opinions not only when the occasion calls for it, but every time they enter their classroom.      As an educator, I always tell myself that I should always mentally and physically prepare myself to receive a variety of characters with a variety of personalities. In addition, I must create a welcoming environment for my students because I consider my classroom to be a second home for them.      Because I had been assisting other teachers for an entire year, having my own classroom came with a certain amount of excitement and eagerness. As a result, I was shifting from classroom to classroom as needed. Yes, I became tire...

Introduction

 1. This presentation will inform you of the principles that are reflected in my classroom and teaching, as well as how they positively affect the outcome of my Language Arts delivery. 2. T h e effects of principles that I never considered in my teaching experience 3.  How I would implement those principles in my Language Arts classroom. 4.  A discussion with another teacher about the Language Arts Instruction Principles, outlining their point of view.

Introduction: What is Language Arts

Image
The rules and systems that govern language are used to explore and communicate meaning. It defines culture as something that is necessary for understanding oneself, forming interpersonal relationships (social integration), expanding experiences, reflecting on thought and action, and contributing to a better society. As a result, language is central to people's intellectual, social, and emotional development, as well as playing an important role in all key learning areas.
