Principle #4 Language are teachers known they are important forces in their students' lives (continued)

Ways in which this Principle (#4) can be in-cooperated in the classroom.

  • Make Learning Fun as mentioned previously.

  • Set performance goals - Set small, attainable goals for students and encourage them to complete them. Create challenging assignments that are appropriate for the class's abilities.

  • Change the atmosphere or scenery of the classroom - Yes, the classroom is a great place to learn, but who enjoys sitting at a desk or staring at a screen most of the time, listening to the teacher talk? Why not give students the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom in a new setting? It will keep them intrigued and inspired. You'd be surprised at how beneficial a new setting or open classroom can be!
THOSE ARE JUST A FEW EXAMPLES.

I will incorporate this principle in my classroom to the best of my ability,

Principle #7 Language arts instruction should center on quality literature

 It is important that students use quality literature to explore language skills, writing aspects such as language devices, grammar, and so on. Quality literature is an excellent stimulus for involving students because it gives them time to reflect and make connections between the text, their own experiences, and personal responses. In addition, quality texts provide readers with a relatable context, making it easier to write from various points of view and about abstract situations. What factors influence the quality of children's literature? A good book has a key focus that connects the story and captures the reader in. The topic should be exciting and relevant to children, and it ought to have a beginning, middle, and end.
