Classrooms should be student-centered, which means they should be comfortable enough for students to open up - open up in the sense that they have the confidence and boldness to speak up in public or among their peers. They can feel free to share about their culture and life stories, and they can be bold enough to share their views and opinions not only when the occasion calls for it, but every time they enter their classroom. As an educator, I always tell myself that I should always mentally and physically prepare myself to receive a variety of characters with a variety of personalities.
